Police identify teen killed in double-shooting in Thursday night.

Baltimore police on Friday identified a 17-year-old boy killed in a double-shooting in Northeast Baltimore Thursday night.

Police said Desean Mcelveen was found was shot around 6:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Abbotston Street in the Coldstream Homestead Montebello neighborhood.

Mcelveen, of the1600 block of E. 28th Street, was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Detectives learned a second man was injured in the shooting after they were called to an area hospital where he was being treated for a graze wound to the leg. The victim, a 20-year-old man, told detectives he was walking with Mcelveen when a black van pulled along the side of them and a passenger opened fire.

Police were later called to a shooting at 1:35 a.m. Friday to the 800 block of Abbott Court in Oldtown for calls of discharging. Responding officers found shell casings and vehicles that had been struck as a result of gunfire.

While at the scene, officers received a call for to an area hospital where a 27-year-old man was suffering from gunshot wounds.
