Man shot and killed in Cherry Hill

A man was shot and killed in Cherry Hill, police said.

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of South Baltimore on Wednesday night, police said.

The man was found around 9:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of Cherryland Road with gunshot wounds to his back. He was pronounced dead at a hospital at about 10 p.m. Police said the shooting stemmed from a fight that happened nearby earlier.

In a separate incident, a man was shot in the leg in southwest Baltimore. Police found the 42-year-old victim around 8:20 p.m. in the 400 block of S. Longwood Street in the Gwynns Falls neighborhood. Police said the shooting happened after an altercation.
