Man shot dead in Greenspring area of North Baltimore

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in North Baltimore, while a 33-year-old man was wounded near downtown.

Baltimore police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was shot dead in the Greenspring area of North Baltimore overnight.

Police said Sunday morning that they responded around 3:45 a.m. to the 2400 block of Loyola Northway, where they found the man. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police did not release details about a motive or suspects, and homicide detectives are investigating.

Also Sunday, central district officers are investigating a shooting that hospitalized a 33-year-old man.

Police said the man was shot before 2:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in the Seton Hill neighborhood, and drove himself to the intersection of North and Maryland avenues in the Charles North area where he contacted police.

He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition was not immediately available.
