Man fatally shot in Northwest Baltimore early Friday

A man was fatally shot in Northwest Baltimore early Friday morning, police said.

At about 5:40 a.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of Jonquil Avenue in Glen for a report of a shooting where they found a 45-year-old man from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was transported to Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Homicide detectives are currently interviewing potential witnesses but have no suspect information nor a motive at this time, police said.
