A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in South Baltimore on Tuesday morning, according to police.
Officers responded to a reported shooting about 9:36 a.m. in the 1000 block of E. Patapsco Avenue and found the wounded man, who died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He was not immediately identified.
The location is along a major corridor that connects the city's Brooklyn and Curtis Bay neighborhoods south of the Fairfield industrial area.

The killing is the second of the year to occur in South Baltimore; the first occurred in Cherry Hill on Jan. 19, when 24-year-old Isahia Bonner was fatally shot.
Baltimore police are now investigating 20 homicides that have occurred this month. Five of them happened this weekend.
