Two people were injured in shootings within minutes of each other in Baltimore Friday night, including a teenage girl and an adult man, police said.
A 14-year-old girl was shot in the thigh at about 10:34 p.m. in the 2100 block of Walbrook Ave. in the Mondawmin area of West Baltimore, Baltimore Police said.
The girl was taken to a local hospital for treatment while city-wide shooting detectives began an investigation. Police have not released any further information about the shooting.
Minutes later, at 10:42 p.m., police were called to the 1200 block of Washington Blvd. in the Washington Village/Pigtown neighborhood for another reported shooting.
Officers found a man who was shot in the thumb. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police believe a man fired shots on the street, striking the victim. Police did not provide further information about the suspect.
