Police on Friday identified five men who were shot and killed in separate homicides within 38 hours earlier this week.
Eight men were killed this week in Baltimore between early Sunday morning and Tuesday evening.
The Tuesday evening double shooting left a 28-year-old man dead, the 150th homicide in the city this year. That man has not yet been identified.
» Emmanuel Cruz, 39, of the 100 block of N. Rose St., was found dead early Monday on the 400 block of N. Haven St. Police said he was killed after an altercation with an unidentified person, who police said pulled out a gun and shot Cruz multiple times.
» Jeremias Morales, 42, of the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road, was pronounced dead three blocks from his residence Monday morning when police found him with gunshot wounds to the upper part of his body.
» Davon Davis, 21, was found Monday with a gunshot wound to his upper body on the 800 block of N. Belnord Ave. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
» Jeffrey Allen Shields, 18, of the 5000 block of Cordelia Ave., was found with a gunshot wound to his back early Tuesday on the 2400 block of Garrison Ave. in the Cylburn neighborhood. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
» Markise Jackson, 19, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 500 block of Hoffman St. in Upton around 3:15 p.m Tuesday. He was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
