FBI offers $25,000 for whereabouts of pregnant Baltimore woman who vanished before baby shower

Akia Eggleston was eight months pregnant when she vanished before her baby shower in May, sending Baltimore police on a six-month search that has exhausted all leads for the missing young mother.

FBI agents announced Tuesday a $25,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of the 23-year-old Baltimore woman. Her son, officials said, should be five months old.

Investigators have found no activity on her social media accounts and cell phone, no bank withdraws, no sign of her at hospitals or bus stations since she disappeared, said Chief Stanley Brandford of the Baltimore police.

“We have exhausted every investigative means,” Brandford said.

Anyone with information is urged to call police, 410-396-2499.

Eggleston has a three-year-old daughter now in the care of relatives. The girl has asked for her mother again and again, said Shawn Wilkinson, Eggleston’s stepfather.

“We have no real answers to give her,” he said.
