Teen cut downtown Thursday afternoon

A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized after being cut Thursday on a busy street in downtown Baltimore.

Baltimore police said the boy was transported to an area hospital in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries to his face after being cut with part of a belt.

Police responded to the incident around 3:22 p.m. at the intersection of Baltimore and South streets.

Two boys were arrested in connection with the cutting, police said.

Friends at the scene described the victim as a student at Digital Harbor High School.

Parts of Baltimore Street and Guilford Avenue were temporarily closed following the incident.
