Man, 32, shot dead in southern Baltimore

A 32-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times in the Brooklyn area of South Baltimore, city police said Monday.

The shooting took place just before 1 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Washburn Avenue, police said. Tomez Lee, of the 3800 block of Brooklyn Ave., was found shot in the upper and lower body, they said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died, according to police.

Police are also investigating a shooting that took place late Sunday in East Baltimore.

Police said a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 300 block of Robinson Street in the Ellwood Park/Monument neighborhood.

Police responded to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where the victim went after the shooting. They learned the man was with friends when a white van arrived, three people got out and began shooting. The victim tried to run, but was hit.

The victim has been treated and released. Two suspects were identified, and police have warrants for their arrest.

Police on Monday also identified the victim of a Sunday shooting that killed a teenage girl. Dashanae Woodson, 17, was shot in the 4300 block of Reisterstown Road.
