Three men wounded, one critically, in Baltimore gunfire Sunday

Three men were shot in Baltimore on Sunday in three separate incidents, the last of which brought homicide detectives to the scene due to the severity of the man's injuries, city police said.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Bryant Avenue near Mondawmin Mall in West Baltimore about 5:35 p.m. for a report of a shooting and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Homicide detectives were investigating, said Detective Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman.

About two hours earlier, at 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Fenwick Avenue in the Coldstream Homestead Montebello neighborhood in Northeast Baltimore and found a man shot in the back, police said.

The man was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive, Silbert said. District detectives were investigating.

A man was also shot in the head early Sunday morning, but is expected to survive.

Silbert said that at 12:40 a.m., officers responded to an incident on the 5300 block of Cordelia Avenue in Northwest Baltimore, where a 33-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

Silbert said police believe the man was involved in a dispute with another man moments before being shot, but no additional details were immediately available. District detectives were investigating.
