A 19-year-old Parkville man has been arrested in the robbery and assault of an 88-year-old woman and the sexual assault of two other women in three separate incidents near Carney, according to Baltimore County police.

Jordan Snyder, of the 3200 block of East Joppa Road, was arrested Oct. 31 for the robbery and assault, and a warrant was issued for the two sexual assault charges Nov. 6, after police were able to link him to the two incidents, according to police and court records.

All three assaults occurred within a mile of Snyder's home, police said — and they expect there may have been others.

In the most recent incident, Snyder allegedly ran up to the elderly woman as she was exiting her car in the parking lot of a Walgreens in the 9600 block of Harford Road, grabbed her wallet and shoved her to the ground, police said.

He then took off running, but detectives in the area saw him fleeing and arrested him nearby, police said.

His arrest came nearly a year after the first assault.

About 7:41 p.m. Nov. 9, 2011, a woman getting into her car in the 3200 block of East Joppa Road was grabbed on the buttocks by a man who then ran into nearby woods off Oak Summit Avenue, police said.

Three months later, about 4:43 p.m. on Feb. 24, a woman getting into her car on Oak Summit Avenue with her three children was also grabbed on the buttocks by a man who then fled down East Joppa, police said.

Snyder is charged in all three incidents, with robbery, theft, three counts of second-degree assault and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense.

He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail, police said.

Police believe Snyder may have assaulted other women in the area as well. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-887-5310.
