Two men were gunned down in separate incidents overnight Sunday in Baltimore as the city's murder toll continued to climb amid rising temperatures.

Few details were released on either incident. The first occurred just before 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of Annor Court in Westport Homes. Police said a man was shot in the chest, and pronounced dead at an area hospital.

His name and age were not released, though he was being widely mourned on social media, where friends identified him by his first name of Tyquan.

Another man was killed in a shooting in the Frankford neighborhood that was reported to police around 1 a.m. That victim, who also was not identified by name or age, was shot in the chest in the 4800 block of Aberdeen Ave. and pronounced dead at a hospital just before 2 a.m.

The killings were the second and third of the weekend, following the killing Saturday evening of Cornell Arrington, 28, in the 1400 block of N. Patterson Park Ave., in East Baltimore.

A man was also shot and killed early Friday in Southwest Baltimore; his name and age have not been released by police, who said the man was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Ten people have been slain so far in May, after 12 were killed in all of April and seven in March.
