A man was fatally shot in the city's Barclay neighborhood early Wednesday morning, according to Baltimore Police.
Officers responded to the 2200 block of Barclay Street about 1:18 a.m. to investigate a shooting and found the victim lying on the floor in a home, suffering from a gun shot wound, police said. The man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2 a.m.
No suspect or motive is known, police said.
The block is along a stretch of Greenmount Avenue that saw a sustained burst of violence late last year, with multiple shooting deaths, and is the same place 16-year-old Daqwon Artis was killed by gunfire in late November.
Police also said about 8 p.m. Tuesday that they are investigating a shooting in the 1200 block of Linworth Avenue in the city's New Northwood neighborhood, which is west of Morgan State University.
No further details were immediately available.
