A man and woman were shot in Southwest Baltimore early Friday morning, Baltimore police said. Both are expected to survive.
The woman was shot multiple times in her back and chest, and the man was shot once in the foot about 12:50 a.m. in the 2500 block of Hollins Street, police said. Both were taken to a nearby hospital where the man was treated and released, but the woman is listed in critical but stable condition.
Early police investigation found that the victims were walking in the Shipley Hill neighborhood when they heard gunshots and were struck.
