A man walked into a Baltimore hospital Monday evening with a hand injury from a Highlandtown shooting more than a week ago, police said.
The victim told police he and a friend were leaving a bar at Pratt and Conkling streets around 2 a.m. on May 4 when the two were approached by a suspect who pointed a gun at them. The victim tried to grab the gun from the suspect when it fired, hitting him in the hand, police said.
The suspect was not identified, and police did not say whether the two were targeted or why the victim waited more than a week to report it.
The man arrived at the hospital around 7 p.m. Monday, and police did not release his condition.
District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2422.
