A man was shot and another was stabbed in West Baltimore Sunday afternoon, police said.

A group fight broke out, culminating in a man being stabbed multiple times, in the 800 block of W. Lexington St. in Poppleton around 4 p.m., police said. The victim walked into an area hospital, where he was treated and reported the incident to police.

About a half hour later, officers responded to the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave., in Penn North, for a report of a shooting, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was in stable condition as of 7:48 p.m., police said.

Police, who did not say the incidents were related, have not identified a suspect or motive in either incident. Western district detectives are investigating both, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2477.
