A man was fatally shot late Thursday in Northeast Baltimore, police said, as the pace of city homicides rises after a drop in the previous three months.
The man was shot multiple times in the 3400 block of Dudley Avenue in the Belair-Edison neighborhood around 11:30 p.m., police said, and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after midnight. Police released no more information on the circumstances of the shooting or a possible motive or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100. The victim has not yet been publicly identified.
The homicide is the 11th detectives are investigating this month after a below-average rate of murders in February, March and April.
