Baltimore Police are investigating a double homicide late Sunday and two other shootings that occurred in the predawn hours.
Responding to calls of gunfire at about 10:50 p.m., Northeast District officers found an unresponsive man lying in the street in the 1700 block of Montpelier St. suffering from gunshot wounds. Up the block, police found a car with the front passenger door open and a woman inside, who had also been shot and was unresponsive.
Both victims were transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The man, who police said had "numerous" gunshot wounds to his torso and head, was pronounced dead at 11:21 p.m. The woman, shot in her torso and a limb, was pronounced dead six minutes later.
Police have not released the names of both victims pending next of kin notification and have no information on a suspect or motive.
At 3:43 a.m. Central District officers reported to a shooting in the 1700 block of McCulloh St. in the Upton neighborhood, where they found a man shot with non-life threatening injuries.
At 4:52 a.m., a man reportedly shot in the 1700 block of E. Pratt St. in Upper Fells Point walked into Johns Hopkins Hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Southeast District detectives are investigating that shooting.
No other information was available on the early morning shootings.
