Four people shot, one fatally, in separate city incidents Sunday

A man was killed and three other people were injured in separate shootings in Baltimore over the weekend, city police said Sunday.

The homicide happened in the 500 block of Richwood Avenue. Police, dispatched just after 4:15 a.m. Sunday, found a man shot in the head. He was pronounced dead just before 5 a.m. at an area hospital.

Two hours earlier, police found a woman shot in the stomach in the unit block of North Abington Avenue. She was taken to a hospital, treated and released, police said.

Around 6:13 p.m. Sunday, a man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of his body after being shot in the 2300 block of Ashland Ave., police said.

He was listed in critical condition. District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2433.

Just after 8 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the 4000 block of Prior Ave in the Belair-Parkside neighborhood where a man was shot in the head. He was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not released.

No motive or suspect information was released in any of the shootings, and police did not identify any of the victims.
