A man was shot dead at Dietrich's Tavern in Glen Burnie on Sunday evening, according to Anne Arundel County police — marking the third fatal shooting at the bar since 2009.
Officers responded to the bar in the 7300 block of East Furnace Branch Road about 5:30 p.m. and found Sir Keith English Queen Jones, 31, fatally wounded in a side parking lot, said Lt. Glenn Shanahan, a police spokesman.
Homicide detectives were investigating. Shanahan said he did not know whether police had any leads, but no suspect was in custody Sunday night.
On Dec. 4, 2010, 30-year-old Kelly Fisher, of Glen Burnie, was fatally shot outside the bar. Clayton Battle, now 35, also of Glen Burnie, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting. His sentencing has been postponed multiple times, and is now scheduled for Jan. 8, according to court records.
On Jan. 10, 2009, 37-year-old Nathaniel Wallace, of Baltimore, was fatally shot outside the bar. Ricco Gough, now 32, of Glen Burnie, was convicted of second-degree murder and multiple gun charges in the killing in 2010 and sentenced to 50 years in prison.
Jones' most recent address in court records, in an active marijuana possession case in Baltimore County, is listed as in York, Pa. He's previously held addresses in Glen Burnie, Halethorpe and Hagerstown.
