Robbers with 'Rambo-style' knife take man's pants near Meyerhoff

Robbers wielding a "Rambo-style" knife stole a man's pants and shoes in an attack Friday night near the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, according to a police report.

The victim, identified only as a 20-year-old man, said he was walking through a park in the 100 block of W. Preston St. before 10:30 p.m. when two males ran up behind him. One of the males grabbed him by his neck and held the large knife against his throat while the other went through the victim's pockets.

They took the victim's iPhone 5s, a Gucci wallet, and a pair of pants and his shoes. The suspects ran eastbound on Preston Street. The victim was not injured.

The suspects were both black males, one of whom was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt that covered his head. One was heavyset, the other was described as 6 feet tall and thin. A more detailed description was not available.
