Allegany County authorities say a man is charged with sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy six years ago when the man was 16. Police charged 22-year-old Bradley Appel of Oldtown Thursday. He was charged as an adult. In 2003, police say Appel sexually abused the boy. Detectives received reports that Appel had abused the boy and began investigating. Appel is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center after an initial appearance before a District Court commissioner.
