Police reports in Baltimore city and county
Robbery A man, 54, was walking in the 4100 block of White Ave. abut 12:35 a.m. Tuesday when he was attacked by another man who knocked him to the ground and robbed him of his backpack containing $320 and other property.
Stolen vehicle Police were seeking a 1999 Honda Civic with tags GBY 427 that was stolen Tuesday in the 1500 block of Waverly Way.
Theft A stereo system head-set and speakers were stolen between Friday and Monday from a 1998 Buick Park Avenue parked in the 2400 block of S. Paca St.
Theft Someone broke into a 2008 Ford Focus parked in the 100 block of S. Fremont Ave. Monday by breaking a window seal and stole a navigational system and a purse.

Burglary Between Aug. 6 and Sunday, someone entered the back yard of a house in the 3200 block of Carlswood Circle and stole two bicycles. Shortly after the thefts were reported, parts of at least one of the bikes were found at a nearby school.

Bank robberies A 34-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday shortly after she robbed Wachovia Bank in the 4800 block of Eastern Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money. No weapon was displayed. Police said shortly after the 10:30 a.m. robbery, a citizen flagged down Officer Fred Wroten and told him a woman just robbed the bank and gave Wroten her description. Nearby in the 200 block of Oldham St., Wroten spotted the woman carrying a purse covered with a dye, the result of an exploding dye pack. Police said the woman was arrested and that charges were pending. Two hours later, a man robbed Chesapeake Bank of Maryland in the 2200 block of Eastern Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money and was being sought.Western Baltimore
Shooting A man was shot several times in the upper body in the 500 block of N. Carey St. about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday and was reported in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Details were not available, and no arrest had been made.Southwestern Baltimore
Assault A man, 51, was walking in the 1900 block of N. Smallwood St. about Tuesday night when he was attacked by another man who struck him several times in the head and the face. The victim ran to his home and called police. From there he was first taken by ambulance to Maryland General Hospital, where he was stabilized before being transferred to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. There, he was treated for multiple fractures of the face. No arrest had been made.Northeastern Baltimore
Robbery/arrest A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged as an adult with the armed robbery of a man and the attempted robbery of a carryout within a few minutes of each other Tuesday night. About 8:25 p.m., a man, 34, was walking in the 3000 block of Gibbons Ave. when a teenage male armed with what appeared to be a large hunting knife held the weapon to his throat and robbed him of $15. A few minutes later, police received a report that a young male armed with a large knife attempted to rob Fast Wok, an Asian carryout in the 5500 block of Harford Road, but was thwarted when an employee struggled to gain control of the weapon, causing the youth to flee. In the 3000 block of Hamilton Ave. near Harford Road, Officer Ezra R. Hendren observed the youth and arrested him. Assault A woman, 24, and her boyfriend were arguing in the 1500 block of Olmstead St. Monday afternoon when the man choked her before fleeing. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center for minor injuries and was advised to seek a warrant for the man's arrest on assault charges.
