Baltimore police said a 57-year-old Brooklyn man who was assaulted in August has died from his injuries, and police also identified a man killed last week in West Baltimore.
On Oct. 15, Earl Moulden was taken to a hospital complaining of shortness of breath, and later died. Moulden had been assaulted on Aug. 30 in the 3500 block of 5th St. by an unidentified man who approached him and started an argument about "ownership of a wallet," according to a police report of the incident.
Moulden was punched once in the face and fell to the ground, and was found by his brother. The officer who took a report of the assault said that Moulden did not identify his attacker.
The medical examiner's office determined that Moulden died as a result of complications from injuries he received in the assault, and his death was ruled a homicide on Nov. 20. Police said the case remains open.
Police also identified the man who was fatally shot Nov. 19 in the 2400 block of Lauretta Ave. as 20-year-old Harold Martin, whose last known address was in the 4900 block of Lindsay Rd. Few details have been provided in the case, but it remains open and police asked anyone with information to call detectives at 410-396-2100.
