Crime Scene - The case of the 'Forest Phantom'

Matt Jablow's "Crime Scene" story this week involves the unsolved case that police referred to as the "Forest Phantom."

On May 15, 1983, a man emerged from the woods near Loch Raven Reservoir and fired shots into the parked car where Catherine Britt sat with her boyfriend. Britt died four days later.

Just a month earlier, in almost the same location, another couple had shots fired at them by a suspect matching the description of the person who shot Britt.

Several people were questioned in connection with the crimes, but to this day, nobody has been charged.
