A 40-year-old Chesapeake City woman was shot in a home invasion early Wednesday, according to the Cecil County Sheriff's Department. Police said that Terri Ann McCoy, who lived on Augustine Herman Highway, died later in the morning at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., where she was flown after at least two invaders entered the home where she lived with other family members. Police have classified the death as a homicide.
