Dundalk man arrested in Westminster burglary

A Dundalk man has been arrested in connection with a Jan. 24 residential burglary in Westminster, according to a news release from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Jason Michael Young, 33, has been charged with first degree burglary, fourth degree burglary, theft $1,000 to $10,000, and malicious destruction of property, according to police.

He is currently being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond, police said.

According to police, Young broke into an unoccupied residence on the 1600 block of Terrace Drive and damaged or stole close to $10,000 worth of electronics, jewelry, personal and household items.

Young was arrested Jan. 25 with the assistance of Baltimore County Police and the stolen items were recovered from his home and vehicle, police said.
