The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has arrested two Manchester residents in connection with a New Windsor residential burglary, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office Thursday.
Courtney Lynn Maiuzzo, 20, and Thomas Edward Millender, 25, are each facing numerous charges after police said they held an elderly woman at knifepoint inside her home Feb. 16 before stealing her vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Police said the elderly woman found Maiuzzo and Millender in her home upon returning from church.
The two then held her at knifepoint for about 30 minutes and took $26 from her before demanding her car keys, according to police.
Maiuzzo was arrested Tuesday at a private residence in Montgomery County. She has been charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft less than $100, and false imprisonment, according to police.
She is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on a $35,000 bail. Additional charges are pending, police said.
Millender was already being held at the detention center on other charges, according to police.
He has been charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, theft less than $100, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and false imprisonment.
