Carroll Farm Museum accepting entries for Wine Festival poster contest

The Carroll County Farm Museum is now accepting entries for the annual Maryland Wine Festival poster design competition.

The winning design will be reproduced on posters, T-shirts, brochures and other promotional materials for the 2014 Maryland Wine Festival, which will be held Sept. 20-21.

The winning artist will also receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Sykesville resident John Kachik won the 2013 contest.

Any two-dimensional media may be used to design the poster, including painting, drawing, collage, photography, or a computer-generated design. Artists must be 18 years of age or older and a Maryland resident to enter.

The winning design and five honorable mentions will be chosen by a qualified panel of judges from the designs submitted.

The Farm Museum must receive all entries by 3 p.m. March 14.

Interested artists and designers may download a copy of the official design requirements and entry form from or by contacting the Farm Museum at 410-386-3880.
