The Carroll Hospital Center has been named one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America by Healthiest Employers, an employee health analytics company, according to a hospital news release.
The hospital was ranked 79th out of 100 companies for having achieved "remarkable and sustainable success through a broad range of corporate wellness programs and employee wellness initiatives."
The Healthiest 100 Workplaces award recognizes employers who have comprehensively incorporated the most effective employee wellness programs and practices. The top 100 have successfully implemented practical, effective, and continuously improving corporate wellness strategies for creating a sustainably healthy workplace, according to the release.
"We are extremely proud to receive this recognition," Carroll Hospital Center President Leslie Simmons said in a statement. "It acknowledges our organization's ongoing commitment to helping our employees improve their health and well-being and our successes in achieving this goal."
The hospital attained this recognition after a year-long, highly selective two-stage assessment process spanning the nation to include companies of all sizes from all regions and industries.
According to Rod Reasen II, president of Healthiest Employers, the award "recognizes employers who demonstrate exceptional leadership in using wellness as a strategy to drive workplace productivity, employee health, and community well-being."
