Maryland State Highway Administration officials say the planned move of a large transformer through Westminster on Sunday and the closure of parts of Route 97 from Westminster toward the Pennsylvania line have been postponed.

Officials had set up detours to accommodate the move of the transformer - which is heading to Gettysburg – but late in the week they abondoned those plans, and said a discrepancy in the weight of the load will require additional planning and analysis.

The move will be rescheduled for a later date.
