Mount Airy library, senior center to close Wednesday

The Mount Airy library and senior center will be closed Wednesday for electrical upgrades.

Electrical power to the building will be temporarily shut off in order to allow Pepco personnel to connect a new emergency panel, according to a county government news release.

All programs and events, including recreation and park programs and other outside user groups, scheduled at the senior center for Wednesday are cancelled. Emergency meals will be provided to those senior citizens who regularly eat at the center on Wednesdays prior to Sept. 18.

The library and senior center is scheduled to open for normal operations on Thursday.
