Jenn Hobbs, of Hampstead, has been named to the position of associate director of development for Penn-Mar Human Services, which serves more than 400 adults with intellectual disabilities through its residential, respite, educational, vocational and supported employment programs in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
In her new role, Hobbs will lead efforts to engage Penn-Mar families and constituents in supporting the nonprofit's mission. She comes to Penn-Mar from Pathfinders of Autism, where, for six years, she spearheaded all the organization's development efforts, including their signature special events, grant applications, corporate relationships, and individual and annual giving. Hobbs is a graduate of Washington College, where she earned a bachelor's in English and political science in 2011. She was recently selected by the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities as its 2017 winner of the Media-Public Awareness Award, for an autism-focused social media campaign, which promoted awareness of disability issues.
