Carroll County Public Schools Superintendent Steve Guthrie and Board of Education President Virginia Harrison will host a town meeting April 1 at Oklahoma Road Middle School, according to a school system news release.
Members of the community are invited to attend and address their concerns or ask questions regarding education topics and issues. The purpose of the meeting is to create an open dialogue with parents and the community, according to the release.
This is the second town meeting this year hosted by Guthrie and Harrison.
The first, at Cranberry Station, attracted about 25 community members and the discussion centered around the Common Core State Standards.
The meeting Tuesday is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sykesville middle school located at 6300 Oklahoma Road.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
