Residents in Sykesville may experience fluctuating water pressure and brown or cloudy water due to the replacement of a pressure-reducing valve in the water main on Second Avenue, according to a Carroll County Bureau of Utilities press release.

The effects will last up to a few days, and may affect Second Avenue, Carter Road, Manor Drive, Boulder Court, Boulder Drive, Norris Avenue and Oklahoma Road.

The Bureau of Utilities said, in the case of cloudy water, that they recommend residents run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.
