Water turned back on after Hampstead Main Street repairs

A water main leak in Hampstead required the Department of Public Works to turn off water temporarily to facilitate repairs, according to a release from the town’s official Facebook page at about 9:30 a.m.

The water to the area has been restored except for 1301 N. Main (the location of the break).

Main Street Residents and Business owners in the area between Rinaman Avenue and Hillcrest street are expected to affected temporarily.

“We will keep you posted as they work quickly to remediate this, and we appreciate your patience during this situation,” the town wrote in the release.
