Summer 2018: Where to watch fireworks in Carroll County

Fireworks are a July 4 tradition, but plenty of pyrotechnics displays can be found in Carroll County and surrounding areas in the weeks leading up to and after Independence Day.

Tuesday, July 3: Mount Airy Fireworks

Where: 1008 Twin Arch Rd, Mount Airy

When: Grounds open at 4 p.m., fireworks after dusk

Cost: Free

Wednesday, July 4: Carroll County Fourth of July Celebration

Where: Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center St., Westminster

When: Gates open at 3 p.m., fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Cost: General museum admission before 5 p.m., $10 families/$5 adults/$4 seniors; after 5 p.m., a $5 donatation to the Westminster Kiwanis Club per car.

Rain date: July 5 for fireworks only

Wednesday, July 4: Gettysburg Fourth of July Patriotic Pops Concert and Fireworks

Where: Science Center lawn, Gettysburg College, Constitution Avenue, Gettysburg, Pa.

When: Venue opens 6 p.m., fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.
