Man critical after being shot multiple times in face

A 21-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot multiple times in the face and body early Saturday morning in Northwest Baltimore, police said.

Police said the unidentified man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. just after 3 a.m., according to police. He was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical but stable condition.

A police spokesman said he did not have additional information, but asked anyone with information to call the Northwest District police station at 410-396-2466.

The shooting occurred in the city's Arlington neighborhood, not far from Pimlico Race Track. Earlier this year, a 25-year-old man, Fareed Caldwell, was fatally shot in the same block.
