Baltimore police investigate three Sunday deaths

In Baltimore Sunday, two men were murdered, four others were shot and a woman's body was discovered, city police reported. The incidents appeared to be unrelated and occurred in different parts of the city.

Just before 11 p.m. police reported that a 17 year-old male was shot "multiple times" at Luzerne and Grogan avenues.

The violence included Sunday afternoon gunfire in a neighborhood near Greenmount Cemetery. Police said that a man was shot in the chest around 2:22 p.m. at the 400 block of Pitman Place.

Earlier in the day, around 11 a.m., homicide detectives were called to 200 N. Belnord Ave. to investigate the death of a woman. Police did not say how the woman died or provide any details.

Police in the city responded to a flurry of four apparently unrelated violent incidents between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday.

Richard Mills, 46, died at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach, police said. Police responded around 2:32 a.m. to the 1700 block of Gorsuch Ave. near Clifton Park, where they found Mills injured in a pickup truck.

Jerel McFadden, 22, was shot in his abdomen around 2:36 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Lester Morton Court, a cul-de-sac near Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was taken to Johns Hopkins, where he died shortly after 3:10 a.m.

In two other non-fatal incidents, an adult male was shot in the leg in near Brooklyn Park in the 3800 block of 8th St. just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Police were in the area to serve an arrest warrant at a nearby home and heard gunshots. The man was taken to an area hospital.

And a man walked into a South Baltimore hospital around 2:42 a.m. Sunday after being shot in the 4100 block of Pascal Ave.
