The National Weather Service is calling for Tuesday to be rainy and windy, with a high near 47 and south winds 25 to 31 miles per hour, gusting as high as 47 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between one half of an inch and three quarters of an inch are possible.
A coastal flood warning is in effect until 8 a.m. Wednesday.
A wind advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
A gale warning is in effect for portions of the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River.
Tuesday night is expected to be cloudy, with a low around 41 and south winds 10 to 18 miles per hour. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
Wednesday is expected to be cloudy, with a high near 55 and southwest winds around 16 miles per hour, gusting as high as 28 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
