As of 9:15 a.m., an earlier accident on eastbound I-70 in Howard County was reportedly cleared.
There was also an incident on the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway near Route 702, but no major incidents were reported by the Maryland Department of Transportation.
State transportation officials were advising those heading to the beach to get across the Bay Bridge as early as possible. Traffic was expected to be heavy from mid-day to about 10 p.m. for the Labor Day weekend.
The Maryland Transit Administration was also advising that people going to the Maryland State Fair may wish to consider light rail to the Timonium station.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
