Two incidents in northern Anne Arundel County traffic have prompted road closures during Wednesday's rush hour, according to state and local officials.
Anne Arundel County Police said that MD 648 at Old Mill Road in Pasadena is closed due to a sinkhole on Wednesday morning. The state Department of Transportation said that emergency roadwork in the area closed the roadway at 6:23 a.m.
The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works said road closures are in effect in the Glen Burnie area at the intersection of Solley Road and Freetown Road due to a gas leak around 7:40 a.m.
The state DOT said all southbound traffic is closed on Interstate 895 in Baltimore City due to a disabled vehicle at the Harbor Tunnel at 9:05 a.m.
DOT also reported emergency roadwork on MD 140 East in Pikesville at Naylors Lane that shut down the eastbound right traffic lane and eastbound right shoulder at 8:38 a.m.
A single-vehicle crash on I-895 North in Baltimore City at O'Donnell Street has closed the northbound right off-ramp at 8:59 a.m., DOT said.
