Traffic: Crash on MD 423 closes northbound traffic

Northbound traffic on MD 423 in Tracys Landing is shut down at Town Point Road due to a single-vehicle crash at 7:57 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The southbound left traffic lane is bi-directional, DOT said.

Northbound traffic on MD 924 in Belair is closed between Broadway and U.S. 1 due to emergency roadwork at 7:19 a.m., DOT said.

The center turn lanes have been reversed due to the incident, DOT said.

A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 895 South in Baltimore City past the MD 2 (Potee Street) exit has closed the southbound left shoulder at 7:51 a.m., DOT said.

Emergency roadwork on MD 165 in Street at Mount Horeb Road has closed the northbound right traffic lane at 8:38 a.m., DOT said.

DOT also reported emergency roadwork on U.S. 40 West in White Marsh between Ebenezer Road and Stevens Road at 8:47 a.m. No additional information was given.

DOT reported debris on the inner loop of I-695 in Lochearn at Liberty Road at 8:56 a.m. and a collision in the inner loop of I-695 at the Reisterstown Road exit at 8:52 a.m. No additional information was given.

DOT added that two toll plaza lanes on the southbound Fort McHenry Tunnel in Baltimore City remain closed more than three weeks after a two-vehicle collision. Southbound lanes 18-19 are shut down due to the July 15 accident, DOT said.

MdTA spokeswoman Tamory Winfield said on Wednesday that the lanes are closed due to a two-vehicle incident involving a truck that lost its attenuator at the location. She said that the contractor making repairs "now has the parts in and anticipates installation next week."

The Maryland Transit Administration reported minor MARC train delays at 9:08 a.m.
