A five-vehicle collision on the Baltimore Washington Parkway South in Hanover at Interstate 195 has closed the southbound left shoulder at 8:19 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
All lanes are open on I-97 in Crownsville with the clearing of a three-vehicle collision prior to Waterbury Road, DOT said.
An early morning accident with injury on I-95 South in Elkridge at the MD 100 exit prompted closures that remained in effect during Tuesday's rush hour, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at 1:22 a.m. and shut down the southbound right off-ramp lane, DOT said. By 9:09 a.m. the ramp remained closed, DOT said.
At 8:14 a.m. the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services said that 13 people suffered minor injuries from the accident and were transported to local hospitals – including five to Howard County General Hospital.
DOT added that two toll plaza lanes on the southbound Fort McHenry Tunnel in Baltimore City remain closed a week after a two-vehicle collision. Southbound lanes 18-19 are shut down due to the July 15 accident, DOT said.
The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:09 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles were running on schedule.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
