Traffic: Southbound MD 144 traffic shut down

All southbound traffic on MD 144 in the Marriottsville area has been closed between MD 32 and Marriottsville Road due to emergency roadwork at 7:32 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

One northbound traffic lane is bi-directional due to the roadwork, DOT said.

All lanes have been reopened on MD 97 in Glenwood with the clearing of an early morning crash with injury that had shut down traffic in both directions for more than seven hours, DOT said.

The single-vehicle crash at Rolling Hills Drive was first reported by DOT at 1:10 a.m. The transportation department reported the roads cleared at around 8:20 a.m.

The Maryland Transportation Authority said that the Bay Bridge and Key Bridge are under wind warnings at 9:12 a.m. Sustained winds or wind gusts of 30-39 mph are possible, and operators of house trailers, box trailers, motorcycles or any vehicle that may be subject to high winds are advised to use caution while crossing, MdTA said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:12 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles are running on schedule.
