The Maryland Transportation Authority said that wind warnings are in effect for the Bay Bridge at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Under wind warnings, sustained wind speeds or gusts of 30-39 mph persist, and operators of house trailers, box trailers, motorcycles or vehicles with roof-mounted racks containing cargo are advised to use caution crossing the bridge, MTA said.

The Maryland Transit Administration said that federal government employees on Wednesday will be on liberal leave and a 2-hour delay, and as a result commuter bus service in the Baltimore-Washington area will run on a 2-hour delay. The lone bus operating on a normal schedule is the 201 ICC bus to BWI, said MTA officials.

MARC train service will operate on an "S" schedule for all three lines on Wednesday, MTA said. The "S" schedule means that the only trains in operation are those with an "S" under the train number on the printed timetable, MTA said.
