Traffic: All lanes reopened on U.S. 29 South in Columbia

All previously closed lanes on U.S. 29 South in Columbia have been reopened with the clearing of a two-vehicle collision at Seneca Drive on Friday at 8 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident had shut down all southbound traffic at 7:10 a.m., according to DOT.

In other traffic incidents, a disabled vehicle on Interstate 95 South in Baltimore City at the Harbor Tunnel Plaza has closed Plaza Lane 16 at 8:12 a.m., DOT said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported minor local bus delays at 8:50 a.m.

Friday morning traffic is still being hampered by closures due to a Thursday water main break at East Madison Street and Guilford Avenue that, as of Thursday evening, closed the southbound Jones Falls Expressway at the Guilford Avenue exit ramp, southbound Madison Street at The Fallsway and westbound Madison Street at the Fallsway.

Baltimore Department of Public Works spokesman Kurt Kocher said the water to the main was shut off Thursday afternoon and crews are in the process of repairs. He said he was not sure if the main could be fixed by Friday.
