As of 9:30 a.m. Thursday, traffic was slow on southbound I-95 at Key Highway, due to an accident.
Debris in the road was snarling traffic on U.S. 1 at the Baltimore Beltway, on southbound I-83 at Padonia Road, and the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway at Greenspring Avenue.
A disabled vehicle was blocking the road on I-83 past Timonium Road, and a fallen tree was blocking the on-ramp to southbound I-83 from Falls Road.
One lane of southbound I-95 near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway was closed due to emergency roadwork.
Anne Arundel County police reported numerous road closures due to flooding, fallen trees, mudslides or sinkholes. The list includes: Crain Highway at Furnace Branch Road eastbound; Fitzallen at Amberly roads; Marley Neck at Dobrody Farm roads; Mountain Road at Route 10; Oakwood at Aquahart roads; Asbury Drive between B&A Boulevard and Vinton Lane; Light Street at Guy Avenue; Pasadena at Brookview roads; Pasadena Road at Ken Mar Avenue; Veterans Highway between Benfield Boulevard and Maxwell Frye Road; and Veterans Highway at Brightview Drive.
Also, Conway Road at Patuxent Road; Cox Road at Route 450; Hog Farm Road at Preakness Road; Herald Harbor at Old Herald Harbor roads; Herald Harbor at River roads; Johns Hopkins at Underwood roads; Johns Hopkins at Saint Stephens Church roads; Minnetonka at Telegraph roads; New Cut at Grover roads; New Cut at Upton roads; Patuxent at Telegraph roads and Patuxent at Bragers roads.
Also, Route 175 at Route 3 South; Route 3 North and South at Church View Road; Route 424 at Rossback Road; Route 450 at Route 424; Route 450 at Hallmark Drive; Housley Road at Defense Highway; Patuxent River at Queen Ann Bridge roads; Queen Ann Bridge at Wayson roads; Route 214 at Beards Point Road; Route 214 at Fern Hill Road; Route 214 at Patuxent Crossover; Route 214 at Double Gate Road; Route 450 at Crownsville Road; Route 450 at Housley Road; Rutland Road at Lavall Drive; Sands Road at Route 408; and South Haven Road at Route 450.
The Maryland Transit Administration reports that the central Maryland light rail line is experiencing a 20-minute delay from BWI Marshall Airport and Cromwell to Hunt Valley.
In addition, the agency says, MARC trains on the Brunswick and Camden lines are running at reduced speeds due to flash flood warnings and signal problems, and delays may range from 15 to 30 minutes.
