Anne Arundel police arrest brothers in Severn stabbing

Police arrested two brothers early Monday in the stabbing of a 30-year-old man in Severn.

Curtis Matthew Howard, 26, and Gary Jamal Howard, who turns 25 on Tuesday, were arrested without incident in Baltimore County, police said. Their last known address was at the same residence in the 8500 block of Pioneer Dr. in Severn.

They were to be charged attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and other violations, police said.

Anne Arundel County police officers, called to the 8500 block of Pioneer Dr. late Friday on a report of a stabbing, say they found a man suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects had stabbed the man multiple times and fled, police said. The man was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

After canvassing the area, police secured warrants for the Howards.

Police asked anyone with information to call Det. Jeff Golas at 410-222-6155.
